Get yourself to your range 15 minutes before your start time.
-
Collect your two score cards from the Range Official as you enter the range
-
Walk to your assigned target and fill out your score cards, with your name, class, style, date, etc - cards that are not fully filled out will receive a zero score at the end of the day!! So do it!!
-
Introduce yourself to the rest of your group and sort out scores and shooting order - you will rotate shooting order on every target.
-
If you want to walk up and down the length of the range on the "safe" path to see what's coming you can, but make sure you are on your peg 10 minutes prior to your start time.
-
Range Officials will check all groups are as they should be and will shout to get the course underway.
-
Once all of your group has shot the designated target, leave the bows and equipment at the shooting peg and the group will advance 5 paces toward their target and wait until the groups either side of them have finished shooting and verbally agreed it is safe for you to score and collect your arrows.
-
If you need to retrieve and arrow from behind a target then this may be done if it can be seen and is safe to do so. At least one member of the group must stay in front of the target until the whole group has returned from behind the target.
-
Collect bows and equipment and move to next target.
-
At the end of the round check all scores are correct and cards tally.
-
All cards must be signed. The Archer will keep the White Card for their own records and the Orange Card will be handed to one member of the group. Who will hand them to the range Officials that will be waiting at the entrance of your course.
-
Please leave the course as you find it - do not leave litter!!
You have from 9am to 3:50pm to have shot the competition and handed in the score cards.
Problems or difficulties on the range should be reported to a Range Official who will try to resolve the issue as promptly and fairly as possible.
